Let's have "Smores" fun!
Photographed are the "smores" kits I made for my job's bake sale! No baking required...teee hee! Of course, the marshmallows-hershey's chocolate bars-graham crackers were purchased at my local grocery store BUT the tags were HAND MADE :)
I cut out tags and the camp fire using my Cricut Expression. I inked all the sides of the tags with Tim Holtz distress inks. I cut all the marshmallow white squares and brown sticks/twigs by hand. I embellished the camp fire flame with orange and red glitter. Hand stamped the saying "a little YUMMY for your tummy".
I filled the "smores" ingredients inside a food safe bag that I purchased from Michaels (baking section). Tied the bag shut using raffia ribbon and just making a simple bow tying the tag thru the ribbon.
This project was extremely easy to do and my opinion super cute!
NOW GO HAVE "SMORE" FUN!

For Angie
I made this accordian keepsake album (from Rusty Pickle) for my friend Angie as a Thank You gift for planning such an awesome trip to Disney World. She is a very special giving person whom I have had the pleasure of reconnecting with. This is our story....I met Angie my freshman year in high school. Our sophomore year, she transferred to another school and we lost touch. 20+ years later, we reconnected thru a mutual friend on Facebook and now she has been dating my husband's childhood best friend for over a year now. They are very happy and are special to us!
The beauty of this book and what make it so memorable is my hubby and I have shared in their memories too (even though we are not photographed). I selected the pics I loved the most, that were memorable to me as well and had them developed in black and white. I selected the DCWV paper stack since I wanted to keep the vintage black and white theme. I used all the papers from that paper stack and various embellishments to ornate the photo frames/pages.
This was the end result:
I am happy to report they loved it! With love to Angie and Tony!
Supplies used:
Chipboard Accordian Album - Rusty Pickle
3M Scotch liquid glue
DCWV La Creme paper stack
Bling It embellishment
Black ribbon
Paper Lace Doille
Imaginesce Flowers
K &Company pearls (various)
Tim Holtz - Distress Ink (Tea Dye)

I'm still here!!!
I am still here! I have just been very busy turning the big "40", back to school preparations for my son, and vacationing at the most magical place on earth..DISNEY WORLD! I did manage to work on a few quick projects in between the madness ...ie: accordion book for my friend and treats for my job's bake sale. Pics soon to come :)

Mini Bags
Mini Bag holds a gift card PERFECTLY! |
Customized for any occasion |
These Mini Bags were ALOT of fun and easy to decorate!!!! You can use all of your scraps and unused supplies to decorate the front of these bags. The Mini Bags I purchased from scrapbooking store Archivers came in white and natural brown color, size: 2 1/2 x 4 inches, 25 qty in each package. I found the natural brown color were more fun to decorate because it didn't flush out the color of my printed/color scrapbook paper/embellishments. In addition to that, I was able to use my inks and chalks on the edges of the paper and bag. These bags can also hold written notes/sentiments, money, picture(s), etc...I am sure you will find a creative use for them like I did :)
SUPPLIES USED:
Home Basic Mini Bags (25 pack) featured in natural brown color
3M Scotch Liquid Adhesive
Embellishments
Scrapbook paper (various prints)
Stickers (various)
Tim Holtz Distress Inks (various colors)
Stampin Up Chalk(s) (various colors)

Clipboard LOVE

TOP - My "sweet" friends |
BOTTOM |
One of my crafting passions is to "alter" items! "Altered" clipboards has been a lasting trend and is fun to do! YOU can get very very very creative with a project like this! The clipboard (top) was made for a friend as a gift for her birthday. Not only did I like this picture of them, I wanted her to have something cute to hang in her cubicle at work!!! I used coordinating paper, embellishments, chipboard and ribbons on this project. The other clipboard (bottom) was made very simple. Patterned paper and ribbon was used to embellish this project. This clipboard is one that can actually be used. Clipboards come in various sizes and patterns and are sold everywhere.
To my friends-thank you for allowing me to share this clipboard on my blog!

When my niece Abriana announced she was going to have a Quincenera (Sweet 15), I knew I wanted to be the one to make her keepsake/scrapbook. I wanted to capture my niece's beauty, talent, and love for her family and music. Above are some of my favorite 12x12 layouts I created for her scrapbook. I hope you enjoy them :)

Rock On
Need a quick 12x12 layout that is colorful and has a saying printed on it? Well, overlays are the best to use when wanting to quickly scrapbook photos. This is a picture of my son at the Hard Rock Cafe (Chicago, IL) enjoying all the guitars. I took the two pictures I took from the restaurant, matted one of them in a coordinating color cardstock, used rub on letters to rub on the restaurant and city name, then placed the overlay on top of the photos! SCRAPBOOK PAGE DONE!! GROOVY baby!
Supplies used:
12x12 printed scrapbook page overlay
Printed cardstock
Zots (to adhere clear overlay onto printed cardstock)
Karen Foster Rub On letters/numbers

Sun Kissed
My son and his cat Henry getting ready to take a dip in the pool on hot summer sunny day! This picture is one of my favorites because my son has all his swim gear on for a pool that is only 2ft deep carrying a cat who hates water :) I also love the fact that the colors in this photo are so bright. So when choosing paper for this picture, I chose BoBunny of course! I cut the coordinating sheet of paper which is what you see that has printed "backyard adventure" and glued it to the yellow sun printed coordinating paper. BECAUSE I love embellishments, I used "skittles" to bring out the rays of the sun and glittered brads for the center of the printed flowers. In the center of the sun, I used stickles glitter glue to make the sun sparkle a bit more.
Supplies used:
BoBunny Press paper (coordinating cardstock)
Scotch 3M liquid glue
12x12 Trimmer
Scissors
Brads (various glittered/sizes)
"Skittles" aka Plastic dew drops color yellow
Stickles Glue

Mints (Altered)
YES! IT IS WHAT IT SEEMS! These are Certs mint roll/candy!!!!! These rolled up candies/mints come in various flavors. I purchased several packages and altered the cover of the wrappers by glueing scrap paper and ribbon. On some of the rolls, I used rub-on sayings and embellishments glued to ends of the roll. May sound like a strange altered project but they were a huge hit!
Notepads (Altered)
Believe it or not, but these are drink coasters!!! To start, I covered the coaster with scrapbooking paper, inked the sides, and glued an embellishment to the corner. For the clip, I cut a piece of coordinating paper and adhered it to the front of the large binder clip. I tied some coordinating scrap ribbon to one side of the clip. Add the post - it - note to the clip and WHHAAALAAA...PROJECT FINISHED!
Supplies used:
Drink Coaster.....Chipboard will also work
Scrapbook Paper (various)
Post-It-Notes
Embellishments/Stickers
Ribbon (various)
Large Binder Clip (various colors)
Tim Holtz Distress Ink

Scrapbook Paper
Creative Memories Photo Splits
Aleene's Tacky Glue
Cricut Expression Machine
Cricut Cartridge: Indie Art
"Pink Flair" Photo Album (Altered)
This is one of my very favorite "altered" projects. I just took a standard photo album where the cover was plain and one that had the ring binder on the edge. Why? BECAUSE I LOVE RIBBON AND FEEL THE NEED TO ADD IT TO ALL OF MY PROJECTS ;) Since the surface of the album was a bit shiny, I sanded it lightly with a paper/hand sander (Sold at most craft stores). I just measured the front and back of the album and adhered printed paper to the album. To embellish, I tied coordinating colored/printed ribbon the the binder. For the front cover I used my Cricut to cut matching finials/flourishes and added a pearl embellishment. Done!
Supplies used:
Photo Album
Printed scrapbook paper
Ribbons (various sizes and colors)
Pearl Embellishment
Aleene's Tacky Glue
Tim Holtz's sander
Cricut Expression machine
Cricut Cartridge: Storybook

Nico's Smile
This project was actually a photo tray contest I entered at Archivers. Even though I did'nt place at all in the store contest, I had a GREAT time making this project! I chose these photos of my son because they capture his baby teeth smile and his chubby little hands :) As for the other 4x6 squares, they were easy to fill in because I just treated them like they were little scrapbook layouts.
Supplies used:
7-Gypsies Photo Tray
K & Company Paper Pad
Ribbons (assorted)
Aleene's Tack-it Glue
Assorted Brads
Cricut Cartridge: Storybook
"NICHOLAS" assorted letters/embellisments
"La Mariposa" Birthday Sash
My dear friend Pat aka "La Mariposa" (spanish word for butterfly) was celebrating her weight loss achievement and most importantly her BIRTHDAY! Although she is not wearing it in this photo, this birthday queen had a blinged-out TIARA. And as we all know, all birthday queens who wear tiaras need a sash too!!!!! Sooooo....this is what I created! Let my friend Pat (and this project) be an inspiration!
Supplies used:
3-inch wide ribbon
Cardstock-color purpleCricut Expression Machine
Cricut Cartridge: Storybook
